And Sir E.M.Broidery also gave me a book that started with: Once upon a time in a land not far from here, known as the "Land Of 1000 Stitches", there lives a good and gracious king. His name is King Needle Eye VI. He runs his country very well and every day in the early morning hours he has a conference with his counselor Thimble, General Scissor and Lord Pattern of Patchwork....
But I get lost in details and trail off....

General Scissor's career startet as a young cadet in Fort Jumpstitch, later he served at the 206th Embirds in rank lieutenant and advanced to Colonel. After the Patch-Wars King Needle Eye VI appointed him as the Chief of Highcommand of the Design-Splitters and he advanced as general.
General Scissor is a man of short words and fast cuts....

Maybe, that I will get a picture of some intelligence assistants, so called SL's, from the Sewing Lamp-Division. Those, who will bring light into what was dark before.
by the way...when Needles joined the army, his brother started an actors career in Hollysewed - he is well known under his actors-name "Josemite Sam".

Lord Pattern Of Patchwork, Duke of Silk & Sateen, Lordprotector of Buttonhole and Zipper, is a high decorated royal and uncle of King Needle Eye VI his daughter princess Poopy Doo.
As Lordprotector of Buttonhole and Zipper he leads the 26th Running Stitches Infantrie Regiment. He established new weapons like the "Darning Plates" as cuirass and changed the fixing pins of his troops to embroidery needles of more length; at last with great success, as seen while the last Patch-War. The victory was not only a victory - it was a real walk-over. The "Bluff Edges", living in Husqvarna, must capitulate soon and had to sign the "Embroidery code of practise" - since then there was peace.
Since 24 years Lord Pattern Of Patchwork is married with Lady Quilt.

One picture was made during the last Patch-War and it shows an attack flown by the 236th Zig-Zag-Stitch Airborne under Colonel D.D.Hoovers leadership.
This attack was so succsessful, that young cadets have to learn at Fort Jumpstitch about it in subject "strategic stitchery" - in military historybooks to find under "Operation Top Stitch".
While this attack Colonel D.D.Hoover was wounded and later decorated with the "Golden Pinprick".
As you know, his most loved sentence is: "Cut and delete!" - but he also wrote the airborne hyme:
Fly along, sing our song,
with the airborne of stitchery
count the brave,
count the true,
we have stitch to victory!

It shows princess Poopy Doo, she is a member of a ballet-group, at her last official theatre entry at the Royal Stitchery Hall in the play "The stitched swan" as prima ballerina.
As I was told by Sir E.M.Broidery the group is now in excersice for a new play - "The Backstitch Story"
The Royal Suite takes care, that not too much informations about Princess Poopy Doo come to public - so, there is not more to say at the moment, but be sure, that I will give new details when I will have some.

You always will know and have heard about him - this real subversive element. You didn't know whom I'm talking about!?
It's Mister Ripper, Firstname Seam - He is known as the Lord of Unsew, the Harbinger of Frustration, the Knight of Correction and many many more names.
Maybe that Seam Ripper is actually a nice guy when you get to know him...but...getting to know him means, that your "seam" is up!
So it's to say. that Seam doesn't have many friends, but he still tries to live a normal life among the common folks. It's just his "Job", that makes him so...so...scary. Okay, he is a little bit creepy, but he never missed a handworks deadline.
His empire is undertitled with "In Unsew We Trust" and the hyme is very special - here is the text:
"I'm the Harbinger of Frustration - you know me well,
without concentration - many seams go to h e l l.
I'm the Knight of Correction and the Lord of Unsew
Keep care while you sew, else you've to do new
So, keep attention and heed my advice
you will sew in first go and never do twice!"

Sir Thimble was born in Mega-Hoop-City, where he has spent his boyhood. When Hoopy was a young guy, he was a member of his college athletic-team. As a sprinter he had a lot of success - last but not least due to his many legs. Later he changed to the Royal University in Hernstitch. There he completed as master of stitchery business. While the Patch-Wars he was as a captain at the 43th Armored Fingers: known as "Thimble's Troopers". In this time he falled in love to Hobbyhorses. He distinguished in the battle at River Cotton-Wool, near the Quilt-Hills in the north of the "Land of 1000 Stitches" - borderland to Husqvarna.
Since 12 years he is counselor of the empire, King Needle Eye VI best friend, nevertheless his brother-in-law and Princess Doopy Doo's uncle - through his marriage with the pretty Princess Sewalot.
On sundays you can see princess and counselor at the Hobbyhorse-Races in Zipperburgh - there he has a box. To his country estate belongs a big stud, with hobbyhorse-breeding. All over the land his preciuos Bobbin-Horses are known.

The family tree of the house Eyelet, the Queen belongs to, is very long and includes also the wellknown William the Stitcher, who fought in 1066 at the battle of Darning.
Since 22 years married with King Needle Eye VI and mother of princess Poopy Doo and Prince Thimblehead.

You see him in his armor suit at the "Tournament of Needling". That takes place every 4th year at Gold-Needle-Day on february 29th. - So you can compare it with the Olympic games.
It's the first time of participation for the young prince, but with sucsess - he has won the "Silverneedlemedal in Hobbyhorseriding with longneedles". (Hope for photos of some hobbyhorses the next days - Sir E.M. Broidery promised me some, when he will visit Sir Hoopy Thimble on his country estate and the horse-breeding stud.)
Prince Thimblehead is cadet in Fort Jumpstitch and it seems, as that he will follow the military career of his father and uncle - so I think, we will wish him the best for his future.
If you wonder about the green-red armor suit - those are the national colours of the kingdom. It may have catch your eyes, when you have seen Director D.D.Hoover (NSA) uniform the last days and also at the palace guards.
Prince Thimblehead has a girlfriend as I have heard, but weather I have seen her picture nor did I know her name - maybe I will have a note the next days.

Their bandname is "The Three Stitches" - I will introduce them from right to left: Moe Knob, Larry Clasp and Curly Tassel. When starting their career they were playfully called "The Trumpets of Jericho", because they'd played very evil and in return loud.
In the meantime Moe has begun to sing, while Larry and Curly attended him with their fanfares.

She is the sister of Queen Embroideria I and the daughter of Duke of Cottonwool and Lady Hint. About her father, I have bad news, he had have an accident while a hobbyhorse-racing competition through a broken needle. He was buried in the chapel of Castle Cottonwool last year.
The House of Cottenwool also has a long and honorable tradition - maybe that we will learn about it something later.
Volontarily Lady Quilt is working as an ambassador for the Aid-Organisation of Failed Designs - an organisation, that tries to make the best of bad jobs.

Princess Sewalot is the daughter of Ex-King Iron Button III and Queen Sateena. Both abdicated in fact of their age as it ever was rule in the "Land of 1000 Stitches" - and while the ceremony King Iron Button says in his last official saying as King: "It's better to end as long as the needle is sharp!"
Since then he and his wife enjoys their retirement on Castle Fancybutton near the capital - so they can see their grandchilds constantly.
The old King has begun to write his memoires and his wife started with painting needles of all kinds in watercolour-technique.
At the moment they are in the captital on Cross-Stitch-Castle at side of the other Royals in awaiting Prince Thimblehead and Private Darning back in good condition.

It's Ex-Queen Sateena I - married with Ex-King Iron Button III and mother of Princess Sewalot and King Needle Eye VI.
As I wrote, they have both abdicted and enjoy their retirement on Castle Fancybutton. More details under Princess Sewalot.
Having a look in their family history, I found a very interesting person. Wellknown as Vizeadmiral and buccaneer - a man with a great career...
something the world called "an american career" - from dishwasher to millionaire - skilled pastry cook. You know, about whom we are speaking!?
Yes, you're right!...smile...Sir Francis Cake! Maybe that we will learn more about him later.

As written in the cronicle of the Eyelets, his father came from Royaume de Broderie, a little empire on the other side of the Patch-Channel called Applique- his name was Roi Èpingle À Nourrice II ( translated: fixing pin).
Here is the beginning of his speech short after the battle to the folk:
"I'm not a Prince Charming,
you know that since Darning,
but to free you of harm...
...my men had to darn!..."

The photograph shows a picture of the young Duke of Cottenwool. He was a great stitcher and he has loved hobbyhorse riding. As you may remember, he had have a riding-accident last year and dies.
He was high decorated and a very honorable man. He was married with Lady Quilt and had lived on Castle Cottonwool.
"I'm the Duke of Cottonwool, and I'm more than only cool"
...so he often was heard...and it was true...it's a pity, that he dies to young.

As all of the male royals he had take part at the Patch-Wars and as many he was wounded. He ever has been a great strategist - so, he deployed the Double-Stitch-Strategy, when he fringed a Husqvarna Battalion near the Quilt-Mountains. In military history books to find under "Border-Attack".
At the moment he writes his memoires and enjoys his retirement with his wife at Castle Fancybutton.

As her man, who was always interested in hobbyhorses in lifetime, she loves them too. And so, you could see her on every sunday with together with counselor Sir Hoppy Thimble and Princess Sewalot at the hobbyhorse-races in Zipperburgh.
Otherwise she had advanced herself and you could see her only at official occasions.

Sir Francis Cake. Always known as a great vizeadmiral and brilliant buccaneer in name of her majesty.
His career was curious - so, he apprenticed to an obscure baker and finished his training as confectioner. After some years he entered the majesties services.
And because his pastries and the desserts have been of best quality and by his love to create sugarships on cakes, he was glady viewed by the monarch.
This was the reason why he was gentled. Since this time there was often to be heared: "Oh, have a look, there comes captain pastry cook!" And Sir Francis Cake thought: "Having so much knowlegde about ships and also called captain - why not!"
So he began to build a big big ship out of sugar icing, tinkered sails out of wafers and set sail in direction of the cotton-sea to fight in majesties name against the Husqvarnas - and this with great succees.
Chef's hat and wooden spoons became his coat of arm.

Master-Sergeants "Stitch" Chickens career started with the Patch-Wars and he was the youngest man, who was decorated with the Patch-War-Cross. He is a really hard guy, but fair.

Let me introduce Sir Stabilizer, Duke of Mandrel. He is a snappy or better a breezily guy. He never get a fight out of the way and he's always kidding his rival.
He always believe in his needle, tenderly called by him "Stabilizer" - and yep...with it he stabilized every situation...friends call him a warhorse.
